Who Is Dr. Shane?


Richard Shane, Ph.D., is a Member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Director of the Center for Self Development in Boulder, Colorado.

Dr. Shane has been a psychotherapist since the late 1970s. In the early 1990’s, he developed severe insomnia as a result of a major crisis. Through years of researching the field of sleep medicine and exploring his own insomnia, he uncovered specific body sensations that release the “sleep switch.” He resolved his insomnia and developed the Sleep Easily method.

 

Through the application and refinement of clinical results, Dr. Shane has used the Sleep Easily method in successfully treating over 1,300 patients with insomnia referred to him by more than 120 physicians and psychologists.
