If you look on the Web for non-medication sleep solutions, they usually focus on quieting your mind. Have you ever tried to quiet your mind? That often just ends up in struggle.
So I needed to come up with a simpler way. With Sleep Easily, you don’t have to first calm your mind. Even if your mind is busy, Sleep Easily calms the five physical triggers in your body that create the feeling of falling asleep. When that happens your mind calms without effort.
The recordings guide you through the simple steps to get the body feeling of falling asleep. One of the discoveries I made is that the physical triggers that happen in your body when you are falling asleep are the same in everyone. So when you learn them, it quickly becomes a familiar, natural feeling. Soon you can trigger those feelings without the recording, although many people like to return to the recording just to remind themselves of the triggers.
Sleep Easily teaches you a particularly simple way to trigger the calming of your tongue, throat, breath, heart and abdomen. Once we trigger these together your body naturally falls into sleep.
In an independent study of Sleep Easily used with police, firefighters, commercial airline pilots and the general public, 81.6 percent of the study participants reported better sleep. And most reported sleeping better within their first few nights. Journal of Sleep Disorders and Therapy (May, 2016)
No, you do not. There are so many things in life that make great promises yet don’t deliver. So people have been rightly trained to be skeptical. What people need is proof, not promises. So please: 1. Read the Introduction Booklet and 2. Use the Sleep Easily recording and put it to the test yourself to receive proof.
I’ve been a psychotherapist since the late 1970s. In the early 1990s, I had a major crisis in my life and developed severe insomnia. I spent years inwardly exploring my own insomnia. From that, I discovered how the body and mind fall asleep. I further researched the neurophysiology of sleep and developed the Sleep Easily physical triggering method.
Lack of sleep is a big problem in the US and around the world. A National Sleep Foundation poll estimates that “35% of American adults experience at least one symptom of insomnia every night or almost every night.” There was a 3-fold increase in use of prescription sleep medication from 2005-2015.
Insomnia is slightly more common among women and slightly more common in older age groups. However, insomnia effects both women and men in all age groups from teenagers to senior citizens.
There are many causes: stress, anxiety, depression, medical causes and poor sleep habits. However, from my observations during my more than 20 years of treating people who have insomnia, the most common causes are stress and anxiety. My understanding of how that happens: When we have stress in our mind and emotions, we almost always hold some tension in the body. Body tension + active mind = insomnia.

For some people, stress makes it hard to sleep.
Sleep Easily can help people sleep when they are stressed.

If you were outside in a storm, you might need to brace yourself. When you come indoors, you can relax some. The storm may still be going on outside, but you are safe and protected inside. Sleep Easily gives you a simple way to feel comfortable and safe inside your body, even if there are still storms of stress happening in your life.

Insomnia is defined as difficulty falling asleep, difficulty staying asleep, waking too early, not sleeping deeply enough or not feeling rested upon awakening. Many people have a misunderstanding and think that insomnia means when the person hardly sleeps at all. Many of my clients would say to me, “I don’t have insomnia, I just have a hard time falling asleep or staying asleep.”
Studies reveal poor sleep increases risk of sickness, weight gain, diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure. Poor sleep impairs your ability to think clearly, decreases safety and increases accidents. It decreases your energy and productivity, increases stress, anxiety, depression, irritability and impairs the quality of your personal relationships. And, people who sleep poorly have higher health care costs. Good sleep can improve all of these health and other issues and also the quality of your personal relationships.
Sleep Easily does not rely on hypnotic suggestion. The physical triggers you feel in your body are real and definite and not dependent upon you believing in them. Unlike many people’s concerns about hypnosis, Sleep Easily gives you a feeling of being in control, not letting go of control. There is nothing mysterious.

Meditation is wonderful for people, bringing many benefits and I recommend it. However, often people who try meditation say it is difficult and takes a long time to get good at and give up before it improves their lives. Sleep Easily is quick to learn and many people sleep better their first night.

If you wake up too early, Sleep Easily can help with that too. As you become more familiar with it, you start to fall back to sleep before you fully awaken.
Hundreds of physicians and health care practitioners have referred patients to use Sleep Easily. I am the behavioral sleep consultant for New West Physicians in Colorado, which employs 85 physicians. Those physicians constantly refer their patients to use Sleep Easily. Those physicians regularly get feedback from their patients about how effective Sleep Easily is.
Sleep medication is very useful in crisis, short-term situations But, sleep medication often causes unwanted side-effects. When sleep medication is used for a long time, people often need to take increasing amounts and become dependent upon that medication. When people stop taking the medication it can make their insomnia even worse than before they started taking with medication. That is called “rebound insomnia.”
